In The Steps of St Paul: How many of you can place Smyrna on a map, or the other churches in Revelations? Drawing on Luke’s account in Acts & Paul’s own letters, Walker reconstructs Paul’s travels, detailing some of the most important sites of the early church. Beginning in Damascus, follow Paul on his 1st & 2nd missionary journeys, then trace his final visit to Jerusalem and Caesarea, and eventually Rome. Each chapter focuses on a particular site and includes: an opening section telling Paul’s story within that location; key dates giving readers an overview of significant events associated with that place. This is a thoroughly enjoyable book, very readable & beautifully illustrated. Don’t be deceived into thinking it is lightweight in theological insight and academic thought. This is a well researched book. Walker has a great ability at bringing good scholarship to the churchgoer. ~ Editor.
